This house, property and all of its contents as well as the garage, Corvette, trucks, snowmobile, gas pumps, antiques and tools are for trade. I’m not interested in selling it or breaking the property up. All of the columns, trim, and railings have been removed from the exterior in a pain staking manor and stored in the barn so the porches could be restored to their original grandeur. The paint on the house was being removed. But the construction to the exterior has stopped due to the winter season. I purchased the house so that my son and I could renovate it as a Bed -n- Breakfast. I have severe health problems and I knew this from the beginning of the project. But I thought that my son and I could get to know each other better with the project, and we have. But my health problems have progressed and I will not be able to finish this project. So I would like to trade something that I care very much about for some thing that would be fun and exciting, for my son and daughter and I for the time I have to spend with them. I am not in need of money so I thought that a trade would be fun in itself. It would be an even trade. Based on whichever offer I accept, somethings are so much more important than money. I would find it very hard to put a price on this area and the warmth and comfort of home that this beautiful house can give to someone as it has for my family and I.

When I leave I am leaving every thing accept for a few personal items. In the house their are enough tools to start your own construction business or you could trade them for any work that you want done to the house. Theirs a giant stainless steal roll around toolbox filled to the brim with tools. Also their are planers, table saws, cordless drills, air tools, wrench sets, sanders, skill saws, grinders, welders, any tool you can imagine I have got it here. In the house there is brand new lighting in boxes unopened, their is chandeliers, track lights, wall sconces, and ceiling fans. We have new Persian style air loom quality rugs most of which are still rolled up and unused; I have a few antique bear skin rugs. I am also leaving all of the stained glass lamps. I was told the front stained glass windows were Tiffany but the signature would be under the windows and I didn’t want to tear up the molding just to find out.

The Area has Plenty to Offer. |
Prattsburgh is in the heart of wine country surrounded by vineyards and less the 7 miles from the beautiful Keuka Lake which is the most popular of the Finger Lakes. Houses around this lake are selling for millions of dollars. Prattsburgh has no bed and breakfasts or hotels at this point of time but it desperately needs them. Prattsburgh is just a short distance from Watkins glen which is renowned host of the NASCAR Winston cup. This brings hundreds of thousands of people every year. Every hotel, bed and breakfast is completely sold out for this event.
The house sits only 2 hours away from Niagara Falls which is the wedding capitol of the world. Niagara Falls brings tourists in from not only all over the United States but the world.
Some other major events are the Naples grape festival, and the wine tours. Prattsburgh is on a major tourist route to Naples and the larger wine routes as well. Just a few miles away we are getting giant wind mills. This is going to increase tourism a substantial amount. Just in the past 3 years tourism has already gone up 200 percent. Also in this area is the Glen Curtis museum is in Hammondsport. This reflects on some of the accomplishments that make this area so unique. Glen Curtis was one of the first pioneers in the world of aviation, he created the first air plane to travel long distances and was completely maneuverable. This plane first took off of Keuka Lake which is only about 7 miles away from the house.
